Walking into Zaytoons, you're immediately greeted by the smell of fresh herbs and sizzling dishes. The rustic decor, complete with wooden tables and ambient lighting, gives the place a relaxed, almost homey vibe. It's the kind of place where you can unwind, enjoy a meal, and feel like you’re part of the family. Whether you’re stopping by for a casual lunch or a leisurely dinner, Zaytoons provides the perfect environment to kick back and enjoy some excellent food.

The menu here is a celebration of Mediterranean cuisine, offering a wide variety of flavorful dishes that will keep you coming back for more. One of the standout items on the menu is the lamb kebab, which is perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. The meat is tender and juicy, with just the right amount of char. For those who prefer lighter options, the mezze platter is a great choice. It’s an assortment of small dishes, like hummus, baba ghanoush, and tabbouleh, allowing you to sample a little bit of everything. And if you're into sandwiches, Zaytoons’ falafel wrap is a crowd-pleaser-crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, it’s a perfect bite.

What makes Zaytoons even more appealing is its commitment to quality ingredients. You can taste the freshness in every bite, whether it’s the crispness of the salads or the depth of flavor in the main courses. The use of authentic Mediterranean herbs and spices elevates the dishes, giving them a distinct flavor profile that's hard to find elsewhere in the area. Even the simplest dish, like their Greek salad, feels like it’s been crafted with care and attention to detail.

If you're a fan of Mediterranean food, the restaurant’s drink menu complements the meals beautifully. With an array of wines and refreshing cocktails, there’s something for every palate. One of the best pairings is the mint lemonade, a refreshing and vibrant drink that cuts through the richness of the dishes and adds a layer of coolness to the meal.

Zaytoons also stands out for its service. The staff here is friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to offer recommendations or answer questions about the menu. They make sure you feel welcome, which adds to the overall experience of dining at this beloved spot. The service is attentive without being intrusive, making it a great choice for both solo diners and groups.

The location at 594 Vanderbilt Ave is in the heart of Brooklyn, making it a convenient stop for locals and visitors alike. The area itself is full of energy, with charming shops and cafes nearby. Zaytoons fits perfectly into this lively neighborhood, adding its own touch of Mediterranean charm to the mix. Whether you’re out exploring or just need a comfortable place to relax, it’s an easy choice when hunger strikes.

A big part of what keeps people coming back to Zaytoons is the consistent quality of the food. Time and time again, customers rave about how the dishes never disappoint. Whether it’s the smoky baba ghanoush or the perfectly grilled skewers, you can always count on a meal that’s flavorful, satisfying, and made with care.

One thing to keep in mind is that while the restaurant’s popularity continues to grow, it can get busy during peak hours, especially on weekends. Reservations are highly recommended if you want to avoid long waits. But even if you do find yourself waiting for a table, it’s worth it once you sit down and start enjoying your meal.

For those looking to explore Mediterranean flavors in a welcoming environment, Zaytoons is a top pick. The food is delicious, the service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is perfect for any occasion. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or enjoying a leisurely meal with friends, this restaurant will definitely leave a lasting impression.

  • This a CASH only place! I went once and didn’t have cash, but did get cash and go back! One of the best places for middle eastern restaurants in this area of Brooklyn. There can be a wait and seating is abut limited at times! The food will make up for these things. Only wish seating was better. Food and prices are amazing.

  • Delicious and fresh middle eastern/Arab food. Great for a quick and satisfying lunch or dinner. When dining in, you conveniently order to your table from your phone so there is not much interaction with servers. The takeout is good too. Cash only but there is an ATM inside.

  • Amazing, delicious Middle Eastern food. I've been coming here 15+ years and it remains a favorite even after I left the neighborhood. Worth trekking to! Portions are generous, prices are decent, everything is scrumptious. I especially love the "pitzas," with the goat cheese and chicken shawarma ones being my faves. Fabulous outdoor space in warmer months.

  • SO SO SO YUMMY. Everything was HITTING!! Cant really go wrong with anything on the menu, especially the platters, baba ganoush and hummus (I think about the fries on a weekly basis) 10/10 would def come back; only drawback is it’s CASH ONLY!!

  • I really like the place. The food is super fresh and authentic Palestinian cuisine. The service is excellent. We sat in here on a very cold night and the downside was that it was quite cold in there. The appetizers were exceptional.

  • Great takeout, great to dine in and sit outside in garden and everything is delicious. If you have kids they will bring out crayons and paper to color on. Staple in the neighborhood. I really enjoy the kebabs, shawarma, had the burger for the first time ever tonight (eating daughter’s leftovers) and was impressed. It is cash only but they have ATM
